If you have been one of those who lost their jobs after recession has struck, be patient. Take heart from the fact that many people had to be let go of and it is not just you. Companies have turned to job cuts as an alternative for saving money during such turbulent times. With many people suddenly looking for jobs and hardly any new openings, it is not an encouraging situation out there for those who are looking for employment. Knowing that there are many like you who are a part of the rat race to get jobs can intimidate you sometimes. Do not let that happen.
The most important rule is to be positive. Finding another job is not impossible. It is tough, yes, but if it was not a position to fight for it would not have been worth it. You might have a lot of experience, but still be ready to give three or four interviews if the employers ask. It has become a ritual now to have many rounds in the interviews and it is absolutely important to do well in every round. Go in with a winning attitude and bowl them over.
Look for jobs in alternative careers. Yes, it might be a little late to start all over again, but then you do not have a choice. Turn one of your hobbies into your profession and you might just love it. There is no dearth of jobs in the alternative careers as we always need chefs, bakers, film-makers, photographers, etc. this twist in your career path might just be the best thing that ever happened to you. Hone your entrepreneurial skills and go into business. Find the right people to fund or invest in your ideas and if they good enough you have a money mint on your hands.
Loss of self-esteem and control are two major problems when you searching for a job. Do not think any less of yourself because of your situation because it happens to the best of us. Waiting for the interview call or waiting to hear if you made it or not can be very frustrating and can make you feel like you lost control of your life. It is not so. Making the right decision is still in your hands.
Life is a journey meant to be enjoyed. Just remember one day how you lost your job and still made it big will be a great success story to tell your grandchildren.

Hybrid Cars: Sleeker and Cost Effective
If you add up all your gas bills in a month, the amount it piles to will make you grimace in pain. Fuel prices are touching the sky and it is just not about being able to afford a car anymore, but also about being able to afford re-fueling it every month. Before buying a car, people used to debate on the makes, models or how fast it would go, but today the selling point of any car is the mileage it gives. The car’s fuel efficiency is the factor that determines how good and investment-worthy the car is.
Today all the manufacturers have woken up to this reality and are centering there car’s Unique Selling Point around this one factor. It is a common and popular belief among the general public that the hybrid cars are much more fuel efficient that normal cars. Not only do hybrid cars burn less fuel, but there are also more environment friendly. They release lesser amount of toxins into the atmosphere and hence cause lesser pollution.
Two different types of engines are used by the hybrid cars to ensure lesser fumes. The distinctiveness of the engine of a hybrid car doesn’t just stop there. It is also one of the quietest engines there is and makes the car the quietest as well. No more stares on the road for the sound your car seems to be making all the time.
The fuel tank of a hybrid car is connected to the gasoline engine and also uses an electronic motor which uses batteries to run. The hybrid car’s engine is less-space consuming and hence compact in placement. One of the advantages of the hybrid cars is that it is perfect for long distance travel as it saves on a large amount of fuel. During the drive, if the car is traveling at a lower speed it immediately changes to the battery mode and stop the burning of your precious fuel. These batteries of course are the rechargeable type which can be easily recharged at home.
One interesting feature in hybrid cars is the use of kinetic energy while braking. It is the norm to use friction to brake in the standard cars, but the hybrid cars use its electric motor whose battery is charged up by the kinetic energy of the car. This is called regenerative braking. Another feature is the facility to turn itself off if the car is idling. This in turn again saves a lot of fuel.
Hybrid cars are not just pocket-friendly, but also environment-friendly. Opt for one today and do yourself and Mother Nature a favor.

Keeping the Jobs in the USA with A Dual Flush Toilet

I awoke this morning to realize that today was the day to start my blog and to tweet on twitter. I have been thinking about this for some time and understand that the time is now, and my mission is to bring back jobs to the U.S. A
I felt it was time to step up and find projects that secure US jobs and are also environmentally friendly. My mission started when I saw time and time again no matter what I picked up it was made anywhere but the USA. Why are we going to allow this to continue when we have over 10% unemployment and all our major manufacturing companies are falling, begging for money and help to stay alive? I just had to step up and make a stand when I saw my brother get laid off and put on unemployment.
Depressed over this issue, I went to a friend’s house for dinner. I was deep into the wine when I started a very philosophical conversation about where our economy was headed and what the future holds for the next generation. I started in with the Who, What, Why, Where’s and When’s. Who is really in charge? What is happening to our resources? Why don’t we make anything in the US anymore? When can we expect this economy to turn? And most important, where’s the bathroom? My friend told me he was using a product that was a part of the solution and pointed me in the direction of the bath.
When I walked in to the bathroom I soon became aware of a new way to flush a toilet. My friend had installed a Dual Flush Conversion Kit by SelectAFlush. My friend told me he had it for over six months and loved it. It was the perfect product for me to get behind because it solved all of my desires to be green, reduce my water usage and make the stand on a product made in the USA.
I ordered the product online and it arrived in just a few days. The installation was fairly easy and I got a boastful satisfaction of not having to spend a lot of money for a new HET or low flow toilet. But that was only part of my reward. I did not have to send my old Mansfield toilet to the landfill an even greener ticket. I now have a simple flush handle that empowers me to save water, U.S. jobs, energy and my utility bill all without affecting the performance of a full flush. No plunger here, in fact, I think the full flush is even stronger. No more do I have to “let it mellow” or feel guilty for a simple toilet flush.
I did have one install question at the time of installation, and sent an email through their website for help. Good old customer service is what I got, a simple answer within minutes solved my problem and now the unit performs flawlessly.
I just have to share the news with you. It seams silly, maybe, but let’s face the truth we have to make a stand to grow this country, The USA, back to its former secure self. I understand that the product is 100% made in the U.S. Michigan in fact, so I am sure that my $30.00 was not going on a trip to the other side of the world plus my water is now going to a better use.
My hats off to SelectAFlush, Keep it in the USA and save more water on me.
